Webcast "Sexting, Cyberbullying and Media Manipulation and Their Dangerous Consequences."

In April 2024, NJSBF hosted an interactive webcast titled "Sexting, Cyberbullying and Media Manipulation and Their Dangerous Consequences." This program was developed in response to the growing need for education on current digital issues, voiced by members of the Bar Association. The webcast aimed to equip educators, teachers, attorneys, and the public with strategies and tactics to stay safe online. Presented in cooperation with the New Jersey State Bar Association and other organizations such as the NJ Coalition for Bullying Awareness and Prevention, the webcast featured contributions from experts in cyberbullying, media manipulation, cybersecurity, and data privacy.

The webcast garnered significant attention, with 775 people registering to attend through social media, e-blasts, and other advertising efforts. Post-event surveys indicated that attendees found the information presented to be clear, relevant, and practical, with many recommending the webcast to others. The program's success prompted the evaluation of future webcasts to build on this topic area.
