LEXIS NEXIS SPONSORSHIP
Lexis Nexis Partnership With NCBF
NCBF’s foremost sponsor for many years has been LexisNexis and that outstanding relationship is expanding this year!
LexisNexis has supported NCBF’s successful annual meetings, the prestigious NCBF/LexisNexis Partnerships for Success Awards, and numerous other activities.
In 2022, Afsoon McClellan, LexisNexis Director, Global Associations, has made the commitment to have LexisNexis professional staff make presentations during NCBF’s webinars and the annual meeting on important topics such as cyber security, data protection, and technology advances. She will be working with the NCBF Program and Annual Meeting Committees in planning these efforts.
NCBF is grateful for Afsoon’s and for LexisNexis’ long-time interest and involvement.
NCBF WEBSITE
When was the last time you logged onto the NCBF website, ncbf.org?
It is the best place to learn about NCBF’s many benefits, programs, and services, the fastest way to get answers to your questions, research topics in the voluminous Resource Library, and the easiest way to interact with your NCBF colleagues by using the listserv in the Members Only section.
NCBF is extremely fortunate to have Wyatt Gauss and his Bloolee organization serve as the NCBF webmaster. He is constantly adding, updating, and changing the website to ensure that it is THE location for all things NCBF.
Try it! You’ll like it!!

NCBF MEMBERSHIP RECRUITMENT CAMPAIGN
The excellent members of the NCBF Board of Directors have initiated a membership recruitment campaign with a goal of having a member in all 50 states, Washington, DC, and the Virgin Islands, and attaining 100 member entities!
At last count, there were 62 bar foundations and individual memberships representing 41 states, DC, and the Virgin Islands. Since bar foundations can have as many as three memberships for their leaders, there are already more than 100 persons who receive NCBF membership benefits.
Each of the eleven Board members has been assigned 5-6 prospects and has agreed to make personal contact with each of them during the month of January.
Let’s get 50 states and 100 member entities!
IMPACT AMC
In September 2020, NCBF contracted with an association management company, Impact AMC, to be responsible for all the staff administrative assistance required to effectively and efficiently serve our members located across the country. The NCBF Board has been pleased with the work that has been accomplished and renewed the agreement in September 2021.
We wish to inform you that Jenny Dorsten, who had served as the primary staff person from September 2020 until May 2021, when she left for another job opportunity, has returned to Impact, effective January 1, 2022, and will again serve as NCBF’s primary staff person.
Caroline Bowers, who, initially, provided additional staff assistance and, then, became the NCBF primary person in May 2021, will be transitioning with Jenny this month, and providing additional staff assistance again, beginning in February. Caroline has been very helpful during the past several months as the primary staff person, especially with her creative abilities.
A big Thank You to Caroline and a big Welcome Back to Jenny!
