Leadership roles change, but commitment doesn’t have to. This month, the NCBF celebrates James “Jim” Huggler—NCBF Past President (2020-2021) and now a valued Individual Member—in our February 2026 Member Spotlight. A board-certified criminal defense and appellate attorney based in Tyler, Texas, Jim exemplifies the ongoing, vital role individual members play in supporting bar foundations’ work to advance access to justice, legal education, and community service. No need to step away—there’s always a place for you at NCBF.

An Inquiry For You!

Hello friends! We have a Fellows program in KY that costs $1250 and I was wondering if any of your states give a discounted rate to attorneys that work in government or public interest fields? If so, how much do you discount it? Also, are there other categories of attorneys that get a discounted rate?

Thanks so much for the information.
